The inauguration ceremony of the special Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme on “SMART GRIDS”, for Power Sector professionals from Indo-Pacific Region, being conducted under the auspices of the Development Partnership Administration, Ministry of External Affairs, India, was held on 20 Nov’ 2023 at NTPC PMI.

NTPC International Business Development department (IBD), in association with NTPC School of Business (NSB) has designed the series of 4 such programmes covering topics such as Infrastructure for EV Deployment, Smart Grids, Micro Grids, and CBET. The first module on Infrastructure for EV Deployment was organized in first week of November 2023. The SMART GRIDS module marks the onset of second leg of the 4 training programmes.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. J. S Chandok, General Manager (IBD), NTPC with Dr. Rajeshwari Narendran, Director, NSB, other Senior executives from NTPC and NSB including Shri. A. P. Dash, Ex Dean, NSB, And Shri P.P. Kulkarni, Dean, NSB.

As many as 20 participants from 9 different countries consisting of Sri Lanka, Maldives, Guyana, Cambodia, Mongolia, Peru, Vietnam, Myanmar and Morocco have travelled to India to attend the Capacity Building session
